Zeros GmbH performs heat treatments of specimens in a chamber furnace at temperatures of up to 1,100 °C – with programmable temperature ramps for constant heating and cooling rates and continuous digital temperature recording. Available treatments include normalising, stress-relief annealing, soft annealing, spheroidise annealing (annealing to globular carbides), coarse-grain annealing, long-term annealing and the curing of adhesive bonds. A typical application is the heat treatment of welded test pieces for pre-production and procedure qualification tests according to DIN EN ISO 15613 and 15614, as well as heat simulation to examine microstructural changes. The subsequent testing (tensile test, hardness test, metallography) is performed in the laboratory accredited according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025; the heat treatment itself is a complementary service outside the accredited scope.
